Dublin City Soul Festival will bring the very best Rising Stars to the bars, clubs, cafes, public spaces and streets of Dublin City during this years Soul Festival from Thursday May 27th – Sunday May 30th 2010.

Rising Stars entries are flooding in from around the globe as we type. We will start to post them at risingstars.ie for you to listen to, download, comment, vote on and even read about in our blog.

Paul Byrne is an accomplished musician and a producer at Phonic Studios. He has worked with many top producers including Peter Walsh (SImple Minds) and Don Dixon (REM). He is also credited with discovering Sinead O’Connor when she was 15.

Niall Byrne (AKA Nialler9) is one of Irelands leading music bloggers. His site features daily blogs about what is going on in the ever-changing world of music.

Freddie Middleton – Universal Music Ireland’s Marketing Director

Freddie Middleton of FM Communications now runs a PR Company and also consults on everything you need to know about the Music Industry.With over 30 years’ experience in the industry he has held senior positions at EMI, BMG (now merged with Sony) and Universal.

Aileen Galvin – Business Director for Entertainment Architects

Aileen is co-director of Ireland’s leading music and entertainment PR company, Entertainment Architects. EA handle music and tour PR for a host of Irish and international artists including Cathy Davey, Mundy, Fight Like Apes, Duke Special, Beady Eye and Brendan Benson. EA also co-ordinate PR on music and youth platforms for many brands including MURPHY’S, Beamish, We7, Le Crunch, Irish Aid and Horse Racing Ireland, as well as publicity and marketing for venues including The Workman’s Club and The Kitchen Nightclub. EA also represent the PR interests of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO).
