About Rising Stars
The team at Dublin City Soul Festival along with our event partners in Pump Audio are passionate about music and dedicated to the promotion of musicians who put their heart & soul into creating their own unique sounds. We’re proud of anyone that puts pen to paper to write their own lyrics or picks up an instrument and creates a new melody and that’s why in 2009 we launched ‘Rising Stars’, the global search for the best emerging artists!
Much more than a music competition, Rising Stars is a celebration of great original music from real musicians and songwriters who love their craft.
Since we first launched ‘Rising Stars’ we’ve been overwhelmed with the response, receiving hundreds of submissions from amazing original artists from countries including; Argentina; Australia, Austria, Belize, Canada, Egypt, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mexico, Poland, Scotland, Togo and the United States.
You can listen, download and share with your friends all the Rising Stars music and even read about the bands on our event dedicated showcase website at Rising Stars.ie

Apart from our BIG showcase gig in Merrion Square Park the bars, cafes and venues on our Love the City Music Trail will offer you an exciting mix of musical styles from some of the finest local, national and international bands and DJ’s.
So mark the dates in your diary and get ready to make your way to Dublin to enjoy some really amazing ‘Rising Stars’ and experience the unique feeling of a Soul Festival party.
Admission, as always, is FREE! However if you enjoy your experience, and we know you will, we ask you to make a donation to our children’s charity the ‘Musical Youth Foundation’ so that we can continue providing children with access to a musical education! Give whatever you can afford.
