Q1. Where are you from?

We are from all around Dublin (Clontarf, Rathgar, Churchtown and the city centre)

Q2. Musical influences?

Bombay Bicycle Club, Foals, Radiohead, The XX, Interpol

Q3. What’s your song writing process?

It varies, but usually one member of the band comes up with an idea which we jam with, then we work acoustically and add structure to the song. The lyrics are usually added after.

Q4. Most bizarre gig experience?

We played in a battle of the bands on a Monday night at around midnight. There were more people in the band than in the audience.

Q5. If you could share the stage with anyone, who would it be and why?

In their own words

The Boxing Plot are a four piece indie band from Dublin, formed in August 2009. Already good friends first, we all shared the same interest in music and were influenced by the same artists. We have received mostly positive feedback and have our music played on Dublin City FM. Recently we were asked to support The Riptide Movement in The Academy 2 which was highly successful. Nowadays, we try to play as many gigs as possible and we hope to play some shows outside Dublin soon.

Our main influences are:

Foals, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bloc Party, Radiohead, The XX, Wild Beasts, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, Two Door Cinema Club, and loads more . . .
