Influences come from everything I’ve done and everywhere I’ve been in my life. My music has taken me to some crazy places and a lot of those stories turn into songs. Stevie Ray Vaughan is the reason I started playing the guitar, but I don’t try to play like him. I play according to how I feel at the moment in a desperate attempt to give you (the audience) an inside track into my head. Garth brooks is the greatest showman I’ve ever seen. Warren Haynes is one of my favorite all around entertainers. Gov’t Mule very frequently occupies my radio. John Mayer is by far the most talented artist of my generation. As far as influences go, there is not one thing that has crossed my path that has not affected me in one way or another. So if you know me on any kind of level, consider yourself one of my influences, because I do.
