Polar beyond is a Belfast-based band who play a style of alternative atmospheric rock; music that takes and progresses through its own soundscape.
The band have finished recording a few demos and are currently booking a short irish tour to take place from April to July. Following this they hope to begin recording their debut EP.
Polar beyond was formed two years ago by two friends, David Armstrong and Phil Campbell. Both had ideas for songs, and quickly began forming material. They asked a friend, Matt Campbell, to join on bass and ever since he has been bringing more of his musical talent to the band. In ’09 the band played several one off gigs in and around Belfast.
This year they have embarked on more gigs, from Belfast City Centre, out to Donegal and all the way to South Ireland. Through April Polar Beyond shall be focusing on a few more gigs, some acoustic sets for charity Marie Curie and an interesting video in a Planetarium!
