The Capitals are a 3 piece band from the Northside of Dublin. After practicing over some of the summer of 2008, the band gave it a break but now have decided to return with a new improved sound. With great charisma and connection between the band members,The Capitals are sure to be gigging properly over the summer of 2009. Living in the Howth and Sutton area of Dublin, the lads have spent the summer and most of the new year exporing and experimenting with new sounds and ideas. They listened to great old music from before their generation, people like Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, Joy Division, The Cure, The Clash and THe Velvet Underground. This mix of the old sounds along with new artist such as The Strokes, White Denim,Kings of Leon,Justice, White Lies and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. This mix of old music and new music has made The Capitals sound very unique.
