In their own words….
Brendan G Quinn was born in Belfast in 1964 and spent most of his life there apart from a work period in Galway in 1991 and subsequent return to Belfast. Having discovered what life was like in a cosmopolitan, expanding and peaceful society he wondered why could it not be the same in Belfast? He started to write his first Peace poem when “The Troubles” in the North were rife and it was entitled “A Nation’s Plight with Peace in sight” written in 1992. The poem was circulated around his locality in Belfast to try to change the atmosphere to one of calm, normality and Peace. Details of the poem and other details can be read and listened to at www.myspace.com/100bgquinn The poem had an impact and helped restore calm to a troubled Belfast.
He was then encouraged to write songs which subsequently followed.
Within writing same in a short space of time people were taking note and radio interviews followed and reports in the local press.
Brendan has a versatile voice and can adapt to cover all styles and genres similar to many top artists but has his own individual style which can cover Folk,Easy Listening,Ballad,Country and Gospel.
He is receiving deserved recognition for his work and plans to do more live performances outside of his studio recording work.
