Torc – Rhapsody In Black & Blue

Torc are,

Marlo [vocals]

Ken Crotty [bass]

Fran Long [guitars]

Fusing influences from soul and funk to jazz and punk, their distinctive sound blends the sultry tones of vocalist Marlo [Phoenix, Arizona] with a pulsating bass backbone and soaring guitars. The lyrics are a rogues gallery of the misunderstood, often reflecting the less glamorous and more dangerous side of powerful emotion and its’ effect on modern life.
Torc launched their new EP Grace in March 2009 which features four tracks including the title track Grace and the online chart hit Tea & Sympathy (voted No.1 on Noisehead.com)
Tom Robinson has introduced them on his BBC Radio 6 music programme.
‘Torc bring a touch of sophistication to their musical adventures…with snazzy guitars and an impressive vocal’ Jackie Hayden – Hot Press March 2009
‘Grace’ is a soulful, emotional, graceful, and powerful E.P. which won’t let you go for a while. Sarah (Limerick Event Guide March 2009)
