Ludwig O’Neill – Rosey Black & Me

Ludwig O’Neill writes and sings real songs, about real people and about issues that touch us all. Hewn from the rough days of his youth growing up on the murderous streets of North Belfast, his music is the very heartbeat, the life soundtrack of Belfast, a Belfast changing… growing into something fine and new and full of hope.

This is poetry… melded with ‘warmly intoxicating’ music that pulls at the very soul of the listener on so many different levels. A brand of folk-noir that sometimes, quite mischievously, touches on the strong undercurrent of rock and blues that flows in Ludwig’s veins.

During Ludwig’s live performances the passion and pain of those dark years sometimes surfaces as ‘wonderfully honed’ musical and lyrical nuances, thus attaining the authentic feel of the ‘Belfast laid bare’ that is his intention.

Ludwig is spreading his wings and looking for a future touring and recording his music across Europe and beyond. This is a new Celtic heartbeat, the music of a city of saltwater and salty tears, of golden hills and grey estates where hope springs anew. A tale of hope for all!
