Murder Plan – Soul Dance

Share

In their own words….

Murder Plan began playing alt blues together in 2006 and since then, they have slowly developed their own unique dark murder-blue style. Playing a mix of rock, jazzy blues, gypsy music and cabaret with big female vocals, their shows tend to be atmospheric, theatrical affairs.
Stephanie O Keeffe, is the star of the group with an unmistakable vocal presence, ability and range, coupled with an image that is classy & sultry, they have been wowing audiences in recent months.
The songs are big and brash with lots of musicality, peppered with that little bit of darkness that gives them a sense of longevity. They are incredibly accessible to most audiences, mainly due to Stephanie’s natural talent and their on-stage energy.
It’s a kind of bombastic vaudeville macabre cabaret show drawing heavily from the works on Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Astor Piazzolla, Carl Orf and Edith Piaf.
They have been compared to Imelda May in recent reviews and are building up a lot of momentum in their home city. Seeing them play, you know you have experienced something sensual, unique and provoking, an act that certainly stands out from the rest.
