Share

In their own words….

Liz Seaver, a 23 year old singer-songwriter from North Co. Dublin, played her first major support gig for Damien Dempsey when she was just sixteen. Since then she has played support for Iain Archer, Albert Niland, Mickey Harte and Honor Heffernan. While playing solo gigs, Liz also accompanied Matt Lunson of One Day International on piano and vocals for a time early in her career, which took her to venues such as The Spirit Store in Dundalk and Crawdaddy of Harcourt Street.

In 2005 she released her debut independent album under the guidance of Peter Baxter and Chris Teusner of Songschool. With the album came a lot of local attention helping her to build her fan base. Since then Liz has done alot of headline gigs in venues such as Whelans, The Sugar Club and Bewley’s Café Theatre. She has also given radio interviews with stations such as Fm104 and Phantom 105.2. Most recently Liz’s Song ‘Can’t Help Myself’ was selected for the Undercurrents show on 2FM.

2009/2010 saw Liz go overseas to play in cities such as Paris and Hamburg. Liz played two full band headline gigs in the beautiful underground venue of ‘Sentier des Halles’ in the centre of Paris in October last year. Since then one of Liz’s songs ‘What a Surprise’ was selected to feature on the venues latest compilation CD and she has done several live radio interviews also. In March of this year Liz was invited over to Hamburg to play support to Guido Goh (lead singer of the band ‘The Indian Tea Company’) in Goldbek Haus. While she was there she recorded a song for Balcony TV Hamburg and also recorded a duet with Guido Goh. A live DVD of her Hamburg set will be available shortly.

Also at the same time, Liz has been involved with other recording projects, most recently working with Donal Lunny of Planxty on Peter Baxter’s upcoming album. Liz will be accompanying him around the country this May promoting his release. Currently Liz is working with engineer Andy Knightley recording new tracks for her second album.
